Adding Intimate Moments

You spend months, maybe even years planning your wedding. When the day comes, it feels like it goes by in the blink of an eye. During the day things can feel like they are flying by so quickly. It is important to find special moments you can share with your partner to remind yourselves that this day is truly about the two of you and your relationship. To avoid getting stuck catching up with friends and family the whole day, here are some ways to sneak in moments that are strictly for you and your partner that aren’t while you’re standing at the altar.

First Look

First looks are very traditional but are a great way to have a private moment before walking down the aisle. These are also great for your photographer to capture the emotions of you and your partner seeing each other for the first time on the day you will both remember forever.

First Touch

Some couples prefer the first time seeing each other to be down the aisle. If that is the case for you, consider a first touch where you and your partner hold hands or hug without seeing each other. This is a beautiful way to create an intimate moment between you.

Write/Read each other Notes

This one can be as intimate as you’d like especially if you aren’t doing a first look. Anxiety can build throughout the day as you get ready, hearing some encouragement and loving words from your partner before walking down the aisle can really relax you.

Create a fun/unique first dance

Some couples plan a crazy or silly dance far before the big day to wow their guests. This is a great way to spend extra time with your partner before the wedding as well.

Plan a private, final dance

When the day is done, you won’t believe it’s over. Once all your guests have left the reception area, plan with your DJ in advance to have one final moment together during the last dance. You both will have a moment together to really soak in the whole day.
